    Default Subtitles issue

    Hi All,

The Longest Day war film has English subtitles for when Germans soldier are talking but no subtitles during the rest of the film.

I'm trying to copy so I can play on my ipad but I either have no subtitles or have English subtitles all the way through... any advice?

    thanks
    Justin

    If I were you, I would remove DVD43 4.6.0 & install the DVD43 Plug-in.

I'm really not familiar with DVDTOIPOD, however, is English the only "audio" available.

So when you select "subtitle stream: none" you get no subtitles at all and when you select "Subtitle Stream : SubPicture 3: English " you get English subtitles for the entire movie.

I really can't help, as I am not familiar with the software settings. Since I was the only one available, I felt compelled to respond.

You might try handbrake... but you'll have to mess with the profile settings, a little.

This might help with the settings: http://lifehacker.com/5572037/handbr...ad-or-iphone-4

I went back and checked my DVD, which is fairly a fairly old release (2000). The forced english subs (english for non-english dialog only) are hard coded. Are you sure you're not cropping them off? Maybe changing the zoom level would help.
