Question Variable Issues converting files - advice needed.
Hi,

I'm experiencing variable results copying dvd's to my ipod. Probably about 1 in 2 episodes will copy, and the others will appear to work, but then be unreadable in itunes or quicktime.
It says error 2048 can't read the file. Often it'll copy the first episode successfully but not a subsequent one. I've tried all of the help and can't see any help in the forums that will resolve my problem. I think this is the relevant log section, but I could be wrong.
Any help appreciated.

Let's have a closer look at the disc being read
- As read by your DVD Drive :

> Close 1Click
> Place the Original Disc in question
- in the Drive that you were trying to read the Disc with
> Open the VSOInspector to Show how your Drive reads the Disc ( it's Free )

> Select the Drive containing the original Disc
> "Media Tab"
Please Post the 'Save Report' VSOInspector from the Media tab
Click the 'Save Report' icon in the VSOInspector tool-bar
Save to Desktop
Attach to post ... or open the log file and copy and paste in reply

Here's the Usual .....troubleshoots ...
Let's check something .....

Go to > Start > My Computer
> Right Click on DVD drive > Properties > Auto-Play tab

What do you have selected for the "Action to Perform" for 'DVD Movie" ?
This should be set as "Take no action"

What do you have selected for the "Action to Perform" for 'Blank CD" ?
This should be set as "Take no action"

Another way To test the 'Blank CD" AutoPlay handler
> exit All DVD/CD programs
> Insert a blank DVD/CD Media into your Drive
and let the Drive recognize the blank
Are you presented with a Prompt ?
- or Does a Program automatically open ?

If nothing happens - Good , that's what you want .
If you are Prompted to select a program
Select 'Take No Action"
Check 'always use this action'
Click OK

Tell me If a / which -Program automatically opens

Go to > Start > My Computer
> Right Click on DVD drive > Properties
Here in the DVD Drive 'Properties"
Do you have a "DLA" tab ?
= Disable DLA

This may Also be caused by Another Program
- Not Releasing Drive Access
Would you happen to have
- Nero ( InCD )
or
Roxio ( DragtoDisc/ EasyArchive )
- installed/active on your Computer ?

FAQ : Can other software conflict with the installation
and operation of 1Click DVD Copy?

Let's look at your Filters
> Download IMGBurn. It's a free program:
http://www.imgburn.com/index.php?act=download
(it's also an excellent burning program )

> Run IMGBurn > Go to Tools > Filter Driver Load Order
> Click "Clipboard". Close IMGBurn
Then paste the information you copied into your clipboard
into your next post in this thread (ctrl-v).
