Default a movie file that when played shows foreign subtitles on the screen

I'm not sure if this is the correct place for this question but I need to know the answer. If you have a movie file that when played shows foreign subtitles on the screen, is possible to remove them during conversion? I'm not online here as much as I should but you guys are awesome!

If the subtitles are hard-coded into the video file like an AVI or MPG4, then I'm afraid you can't just erase it like you're thinking.
If it's on DVD files (VOBs, IFOs, BUPs), then you may be able to stop it from showing using DVDSubEdit .... but again, not if it's hard-coded into the video.

If it's hard-coded into the video file, and only shows in the black area of a letterbox widescreen aspect ratio, then you may be able to 'zoom' into the video part only, thereby removing the black letterbox area.

I have video inspector but I've had problems getting that program to acknowledge (video) codecs I've downloaded making the file impossible to view. Its worked in the past but now I cant figure it out.

Google ffdshow and see if that works any better.

I use this with 1clickMovie and it works fine

It's a bit like anydvd, it only comes into play when you need it, someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Hope this helps.

Not sure what exactly you're saying?? Are you saying that your PC now cannot see certain video formats?
Or that 1ClickDVDMovie cannot see certain files??

I'm actually saying both, I am unable to see the video. Video inspector tells me what codec I need. I download it (codec) but I'm not sure where to place the download so that video inspector can utilize it with the video and make the video visible to my eyes.
